Concrete Repair by Saba Al Waha

Concrete repair restores cracked, spalling and corroded concrete before small problems become structural ones. Saba Al Waha repairs and protects slabs, columns, beams, balconies, car parks and water structures across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and all emirates.

Why concrete deteriorates in the UAE

Salt in the air and ground, high humidity and big daily temperature swings attack concrete over time. Chlorides and moisture reach the steel reinforcement, which rusts and expands, cracking and pushing off the concrete cover (spalling). Leaks speed this up. Repairing early stops the damage spreading and avoids far more expensive structural work later.

Signs your building needs concrete repair

  • Cracks in slabs, beams, columns or walls
  • Pieces of concrete breaking away, especially at balcony edges and soffits
  • Rust stains or exposed reinforcement bars
  • Damp patches, white salt deposits or leaks
  • Hollow-sounding concrete when tapped

Our concrete repair services

  • Spalling repair – damaged concrete removed, steel cleaned and treated, and the section rebuilt with repair mortar.
  • Crack repair – epoxy or PU injection, or routing and sealing, depending on the crack.
  • Structural strengthening – with approved systems where an engineer's design calls for it.
  • Corrosion protection – inhibitors and protective coatings for the reinforcement.
  • Anti-carbonation and protective coatings – to slow future attack on exposed concrete.
  • Honeycomb and joint repairs – for new and existing concrete.

Our process

  1. Condition survey – we inspect the damage and mark the repair areas.
  2. Breaking out – loose and contaminated concrete removed to sound material and behind the corroded steel.
  3. Steel treatment – rust cleaned off and a protective primer applied; badly corroded bars replaced as advised by the engineer.
  4. Bonding and rebuilding – bonding agent and polymer-modified repair mortar applied in layers.
  5. Curing and protection – proper curing, then a protective coating to stop the problem returning.

We use manufacturer-approved repair systems from brands such as BASF, Mapei and Henkel, applied by our own supervised crews.

Frequently asked questions

Is spalling concrete dangerous?

Falling pieces can injure people and damage property, and the rusting steel weakens the structure over time. It should be inspected and repaired promptly.

Will the repair match the existing surface?

Repairs can be finished and coated to blend with the surrounding area.

Do I need an engineer?

For cosmetic and surface repairs, our team can advise. Where damage may affect the structure, the repair should follow a structural engineer's recommendations, and we work to their design.
