Epoxy flooring gives warehouses, factories, car parks, kitchens and showrooms a hard-wearing, seamless and easy-to-clean floor. Saba Al Waha installs epoxy coatings, self-levelling screeds and anti-slip systems across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and all emirates.
What is epoxy flooring?
Epoxy flooring is a resin system applied over a prepared concrete floor. The resin and hardener react to form a tough, chemically resistant surface that bonds strongly to the concrete. Depending on the system, it can be a thin protective coating or a thick self-levelling floor several millimetres deep.
Epoxy systems we install
- Epoxy floor coatings – roller-applied coats that seal and protect concrete in stores, plant rooms and light-traffic areas.
- Self-levelling epoxy – a smooth, glossy, seamless floor for factories, labs, hospitals and showrooms.
- Anti-slip epoxy – with aggregate added for ramps, wet areas and loading zones.
- Car park coatings – durable systems with line marking for parking decks and driveways.
- Chemical-resistant floors – for battery rooms, workshops and areas exposed to oils and chemicals.
Benefits
- Very durable – stands up to forklifts, trolleys and heavy foot traffic.
- Seamless and hygienic – no joints where dirt and bacteria collect, ideal for food and healthcare areas.
- Easy to clean – resists stains, oil and many chemicals.
- Dust-free – seals the concrete so it no longer powders.
- Brighter spaces – glossy finishes reflect light, and colours can mark walkways and work zones.
Our installation process
- Site inspection – we check the concrete strength, moisture and the use of the floor.
- Surface preparation – grinding or shot blasting so the epoxy bonds properly; this step decides how long the floor lasts.
- Repairs – cracks, holes and joints repaired and levelled.
- Primer – epoxy primer applied to seal the concrete.
- Body coat – coating or self-levelling layer applied to the specified thickness.
- Top coat and marking – finish, anti-slip and line marking as required.
We use manufacturer-approved systems from brands such as BASF, Mapei and Henkel, installed by our own supervised crews.
Frequently asked questions
How long does an epoxy floor last?
With correct preparation and the right thickness for the traffic, an epoxy floor lasts many years. Thin coatings may need a fresh top coat sooner in heavy-use areas.
Can epoxy be used outdoors?
Standard epoxy can yellow in strong sunlight, so for exposed areas we use a UV-stable top coat or a polyurea or polyaspartic system.
How soon can we use the floor?
Usually foot traffic after about a day and full use after several days, depending on the system and temperature.
