Injection Treatment by Saba Al Waha

Injection treatment stops water leaking through cracks, joints and honeycombed concrete in basements, car parks, tanks and walls – without breaking the structure open. Saba Al Waha carries out PU, epoxy and acrylic injection works across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and all emirates.

What is injection treatment?

Injection treatment seals leaks from inside the concrete. Small packers are drilled into the concrete along the crack or joint, and a resin is pumped in under pressure. The resin travels through the crack, fills it and cures, cutting off the path water was using. It is the go-to repair for active leaks in existing structures, especially below ground where the outside face cannot be reached.

Injection materials we use

  • Polyurethane (PU) foam and gel – reacts with water and expands, ideal for stopping active, running leaks quickly.
  • Flexible PU resin – stays elastic, for cracks and joints that still move.
  • Epoxy resin – very strong and rigid, used to bond cracks and restore structural strength.
  • Acrylic gel – very low viscosity, used for curtain injection behind walls and for sealing joints and voids.

Common problems we solve

  • Water seeping through cracks in basement walls and slabs
  • Leaking construction joints and pipe penetrations
  • Honeycombed or poorly compacted concrete
  • Leaks in lift pits, water tanks, retaining walls and tunnels
  • Groundwater entering car parks

Why choose injection?

  • No excavation – the repair is done from inside the building.
  • Works on active leaks – water-reactive resins seal even while water is flowing.
  • Targeted and cost-effective – only the leaking areas are treated.
  • Minimal disruption – areas can usually be back in use quickly.

Our process

  1. Inspection – we trace the leak path and decide whether the crack is moving or structural.
  2. Material selection – PU, epoxy or acrylic, depending on the crack and the water conditions.
  3. Drilling and packers – holes drilled at angles to cross the crack, and packers fixed.
  4. Injection – resin injected step by step until it appears at the next packer.
  5. Finishing – packers removed, holes sealed and the surface made good.

Our crews are trained in injection techniques and work under a dedicated supervisor, using manufacturer-approved materials from brands such as BASF, Mapei and Henkel.

Frequently asked questions

Is injection a permanent fix?

When the right resin is chosen and correctly injected, it gives a long-lasting seal. For buildings with widespread leaks, we may combine injection with a coating or membrane system.

Can you inject while water is leaking?

Yes. Water-reactive PU resins are designed for exactly that.

Will it strengthen the crack?

Epoxy injection restores strength; PU resins seal the crack but stay flexible. Our engineer will recommend the right one.
