Thermal insulation keeps the UAE heat out of your building, lowers air-conditioning bills and makes rooms more comfortable all year. Saba Al Waha supplies and installs roof, wall and duct insulation for villas, towers, warehouses and factories across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and all emirates.
Why insulation matters in the UAE
In summer, roofs and walls absorb intense sun for most of the day, and that heat moves into the building. Air conditioning then has to work harder to remove it. Good insulation slows this heat flow, so the AC uses less energy, top floors stay cooler and the structure suffers less from daily heating and cooling.
Insulation systems we install
- Roof insulation boards – rigid extruded polystyrene (XPS) laid over the waterproofing as part of a combo roof system.
- Spray polyurethane foam (PU foam) – sprayed in place to form a seamless insulating layer on roofs, metal sheds and hard-to-reach areas.
- Wall insulation – boards or sprayed systems for external and internal walls.
- Reflective and heat-reflective coatings – light-coloured roof coatings that reflect sunlight and reduce surface temperature.
- Insulation for cold stores and ducts – where steady, controlled temperatures are needed.
Benefits
- Lower energy bills – less heat to remove means less AC running time.
- Cooler, more comfortable rooms – especially on top floors and in warehouses.
- Protects the structure – reduces the expansion and contraction that cause cracking.
- Helps with green building targets – supports energy-efficiency requirements for new and refurbished buildings.
- Quieter interiors – many insulation materials also reduce outside noise.
Our process
- Site survey – we check the roof or wall build-up, existing insulation and any leaks.
- System selection – boards, spray foam or coating, and the right thickness for your building and any consultant or authority requirements.
- Preparation – surfaces cleaned and repaired, and waterproofing checked or renewed first.
- Installation – insulation fitted tightly with no gaps or thermal bridges.
- Protection and finish – screed, tiles, coating or cladding to protect the insulation.
All work is done by our own trained crews under a dedicated supervisor.
Frequently asked questions
Should waterproofing and insulation be done together?
Yes, on roofs it is usually best. Insulation over a leaking roof gets wet and stops working, so we fix the waterproofing first and install both as one system.
Spray foam or boards – which is better?
Boards suit flat concrete roofs under screed and tiles. Spray foam is ideal for metal roofs, irregular shapes and buildings that need a seamless layer. We recommend the right one after the survey.
How much can I save on cooling?
Savings depend on the building and how it is used, but roofs are one of the largest sources of heat gain, so insulating them usually makes a clear difference.
